Wining Women – The Weird Push for Daily Alcohol Consumption

February 1, 2019

“A glass of wine a day keeps the doctor away.” You’ve probably heard this quite a lot, just like I have. But lately, I started noticing this ever-growing “wining” trend grow even bigger, namely that a glass of wine a day is incredibly beneficial for one’s health. There are countless articles on the internet, we are constantly being reminded of this everywhere in the media, and if you go through the magazine aisle, almost every single issue of every single women’s publication has at least one article that mentions the miraculous health benefits of wine. The widespread suggestion is that if you want to reap the benefits, you should drink a glass of wine every day.

RANT: Let’s Be Real About Emmanuel Macron and His Wife’s Shady Relationship

January 12, 2019

Today I thought I would share my thoughts on French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte because I can’t fathom the nonsensical enthusiastic attitude of journalists and regular Europeans toward their relationship. It’s important to note that I am allowed to express my opinion on their personal relationship because a.) they are both very public […]

January 3, 2019

It’s the third day of the New Year and we are already engulfed in the political climate of 2019, namely the new House and Speaker, the government shutdown, and the beginning of the 2020 presidential cycle (maybe Elizabeth Warren is still chugging a beer somewhere trying to find her 1/1024th Cherokee DNA at the bottom […]

The Evils of the Born This Way Philosophy

August 14, 2018

Let’s talk about mental health. Last weekend, the news broke that Rick Genest, also known as Zombie Boy, passed away at the age of 32. At the time, there was no official report as to what happened and how he died. However, Lady Gaga took it to Twitter to (supposedly) shed light on the event while […]

Why Do We Keep Devaluing Life?

April 2, 2018

I’ve been thinking a lot about the inherent value of life. In part due to events happening in my personal life and in part due to things that I see happening in our society on an everyday basis. I am not going to focus this post on abortion but I will use it as my […]

When Did Liking America Become Synonymous to ‘Brainwashed’?

February 28, 2018

In 2017, I had two experiences that keep bothering me. These days, the idea that you like or, dare I say, love America has become so controversial and so ineffable that It’s getting ridiculous. I’ll recount my experiences and then I’ll provide my point of confusion. Last year, at dinner, a relative’s girlfriend asked me why […]
